News Update

Hey Folks,

TOP STORY
Good news and bad news but in the end it's all good. We recently announced that we would be opening up in a new location in E. Village of Des Moines. That is not going to happen. We mistakenly took the word of the buildings owner that it was a sure thing as long as we 'got it together' by December. Mid-November he rented to another tenent. We apologize for the let-down and take it as another learning lesson to ALWAYS get it down on paper. We spent alot of time working with the city, getting permissions and talking with investors as well as adverstising both publicly and privately that this was happening and it is (at the very least) going to be a long delay.

So, we are NOT opening at the location 621 Des Moines st., Des Moines, Ia.

Our original services remain in-tact and we are here for your in-home training ( i2i Dog Training), boarding, rehabilitation, pet-sitting needs whenever you need us...just call.

Media and Critics
Lately, I have received some very good media and it has been alot of great fun, however, it has also brought out some negative nellies who seem to want to discredit me as a person or as a trainer. If you have any questions about rumors, gossip or truths you hear about I am more than happy to set you straight on the matter. Those of you who know me know I wouldn't steer you wrong.
Regardless, I am an open book and love to talk (as some of you may know). So, if you have any questions about what those "anonymous" voices are saying just ask me, my family or any number of my clients and you'll get to the truth of the matter.

Camp Luckybones and i2i Dog Training were in discussions of partnering with AHeinz57.com.
After mentioning this possibility to Juice magazine and the Des Moines Register as well as advertising the partnership in a local coupon book we have decided to cancel all negotiations with this company.
We are not affiliated with them nor do we use them for our rescue efforts or for any other reason.
At Camp Luckybone we have certain standards that we wish to uphold when considering the care and training, or rescue and rehabilitation of dogs. When it becomes difficult to regulate those standards or there is a lack of strong communication based on these standards we find it better to stand alone. We will, however, continue to seek out alliances and partnerships that will benefit the dogs we rescue or the clients we work with.

Not For Profit Status.
There has been questions raised about our status as a "Non-Profit". To answer the question as to our approach here is the brief:

We are not a 501 c 3 Non Profit Organization nor have we ever claimed to be. In accordance to the laws we are not allowed to accept any donations without the legal status aforementioned. We never have accepted donations publicly or privately and when offered, we must continue to refuse.
We have never accepted donations on anothers behalf or for any other reason and will not under any circumstances.
However, we consider ourselves a Not-For-Profit Company which simply means that we are not doing this for personal gain and that we put all profits back into the company for the sake of our efforts which are: affordable education about dogs, rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and the expansion of our services, research and accessibility to the community in order to help more families and dogs who are in need. We have structured our company so that all of our profits go the the advancement of growth toward acheiving the goals of our well-known philosophy "to help dogs and educate people on how to communicate better with dogs".

If you or someone you know have any questions about Camp Luckybones or i2i Dog Training we will be happy to answer them in an open format. Just call us up at 515-867-9653.
